Brad Pitt Bio

    Brad Pitt is recognized as on of the most successful, and most appealing actors in Hollywood. His success is obvious: two Academy Award nominations, four Golden Globe nominations and one Golden Globe Award. And his popularity is nearly unmatched. Brad Pitt is considered one of the most attractive and appealing actors in Hollywood. And, he has had high profile relationships with some of Hollywood’s most popular leading ladies, from Gwyneth Paltrow to Jennifer Aniston to Angelina Jolie.

    Actor Brad Pitt was born William Bradley Pitt on December 18, 1963 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Shortly after his birth, his family moved to Springfield, Missouri, where Pitt would spend most of his childhood and early adult years. In 1982, Brad Pitt was enrolled in the University of Missouri, where he studied journalism. He completed most of his education but, just two weeks prior to his graduation date, he quit. He had decided it was time to try his hand at acting. He left school and moved to Los Angeles, California to chase his dream of becoming a movie star.

     

    After some early struggles for recognition in Hollywood, Brad Pitt had a break-thru when he played a sexy hitchhiker who seduces Geena Davis’s character in the film Thelma & Louise. Pitt went on to land larger roles in films such as A River Runs Through It and Interview With A Vampire. After that came Legends of the Fall with Anthony Hopkins, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination. His role in the film Twelve Moneys also earned him a Golden Globe nomination, along with an Academy Award nomination.  

    Pitt’s most recent films include, Troy, where he played Achilles, Fight Club, Ocean’s Eleven, Ocean’s Twelve and Ocean’s Thirteen, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which earned him his second Academy Award nomination, and Mr. & Mrs. Smith, a film he did with his famous girlfriend, Angelina Jolie. Additionally, his production produced the film The Departed, which earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture in 2007. 

    Aside from his extraordinary career, these days, Brad Pitt is known for his high-profile relationship with Angelina Jolie. The couple, known collectively as Brangelina, got together while filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and after Pitt divorce actress Jennifer Aniston. The couple currently have six children, three biological and three adopted.
